One man's poison is another man's meat

There was some event the day before yesterday and there was a pile of muffins and cakes left behind. So I was assigned to bring 2 box back, unwillingly. Nobody in my family is a fan of such pastries and nobody have time for them. So I brought them home fully aware that they will likely end up in the bin.

Then i went about my own business and proceed to have dinner. While I was having my dinner at an open air food centre, an elderly couple approached me to tout tissue papers. I took out a dollar and bought 3 packs.

Then it struck me that maybe I've found someone to dump the cakes to!

But I contemplated for a while , wondered what to say and imagined how they would respond. I wasn't sure if they would be receptive to it and was worried that western pastries might be too buttery for their generation.

Eventually I finished up my fish ball noodles and went on my way to find someone to pass the cakes to. After 2 rounds I knew the elderly couples had left but then I saw another wheelchair bounded uncle around. Seemingly waiting for another elderly auntie nearby to finish closing her shop.

I was hesitant but I thought its now of never , and what do I have to lose? So I stepped up and asked " Uncle do you like cakes ?"

The uncle seemed to understand my motive immediately and his eyes darted to the package in my hand within a split second. He didn't lose a moment to tell me immediately " Yes I want".

I was pretty taken aback but very pleased and I don't know why but I went on to explain that these were some leftovers and I wonder if he would accept it. Which he again responded positively and almost yearningly the same 3 words.

I had 2 box and I gave him one because I was toying with the idea of giving the rest to my dad. Maybbbbe daddy will like it. But 20 steps later and I started regretting not giving him both ><|||

I felt so ashamed of Myself for entertaining the thought of just throwing the cakes away.

Definitely Food for thought.

Shopping loots & CNY ramble

Chinese New Year is around the corner! Are you as uninterested as me xD ?

Anyway, it is Chinese tradition to wear new clothes every Year New because it symbolises good fortune and good omen for a new year. But seriously I can not remember when was the last time I shopped specifically for CNY. I just buy what I like when I see it and not for any festivals.

But it's a paradox isn't it? While I loath all the nitty gritty traditional and rules, I have to admit that those itsy bitsy stuffs are what makes the festival. And every CNY makes me miss my grandma more :/, like they say " having an elder in the house is like having a treasure ". Without my grandma , CNY doesn't seem to have any meaning these days.

Anyway, check out my shopping loots! I think I'm going to gradually go out of my Mori-girl style and go for something more relaxed. I don't know....

Moustache top $10!
Wild tiger shoes $19.90!

Psycho Pass (Anime)

And so, I finally jumped on the bandwagon of following a series before its broadcast completion. I don't think I've ever done that before ... Well except Shakugan no Shana iii (final) but even that , I took forever to finish the final few episodes ( I couldn't bear for it to end T. T).

But for Sci Fi thrillers like Psycho Pass and Higashi no Eden, it only took me a few days to finish most of it.

Anyway , psycho pass is cool. Way too gore for my liking yet I cannot stop myself from hankering after it because like most thrillers, it keeps you at the edge of your seat. Yes, I have a spot for detective / investigative stories even though I don't follow a lot of it.

I still feel a little creeped out by it -.- images of the bodies and the scenarios accompanied me to bed last night. And I found myself looking out of the windows and half expecting something to jump in :x

Anyway, I wonder why would happen to Akane. I hope she stays saint and pure T. T I'm actually pretty angry with her in Ep 11. I mean come on , you may be nice but you are a law enforcer. You signed up knowing what you would need it do. Because of her hesitation , she allowed her innocent good friend to be killed in front of her. Sigh. What would you do if you were her ? Am I too rash to say I'd definitely pick up the rifle and shoot the guy ?

I guess most of us have to thank God we aren't put into such difficult situations. The task of deciding and sculpting a life is harder than we think. Which is also what makes the job of a mother, a father, a guardian and a teacher so important.

Did I talk too much again ? Ok I'm sorry. Look, here's some nice fruit tarts to make up for it.

Korean makeup trial!

Life has been so hectic I don't know how and why I'm maintaining 2 blogs. Then I remember this is a personal bimbo blog and I can do whatever I want here. Awesome ! Lets start with a pile of shit in the middle of the room !!

-- Insert random Image of a pile of dung --

Okay that was damn random. Must have rubbed off from that episode of Kangxi Laile where the Taiwanese celebrities were talking about how some property owners would put a pile of dung in the middle of the house to make the property less appealing and so nobody would buy it.

Tbh I find that action pretty radical and contradictive. Since the shit is in the middle of the house then that means the prospective buyers have to enter the house right ? If you DON'T want to sell your house, why open it up for viewing ?!

Anyway I digressed. But man was it fun to talk nonsense AHHAHAH

So my recent makeup obsession, ok not really obsession but like new target/ focus is to achieve the Korean look. I'm probably the least Hallyu motivated person around but it's not that I don't like them, it's just that I don't get exposed to them that often. But the little I've seen have been good and after seeing some other girls do the Korean makeup look, I find myself inspired to try it too!

It's a different challenge from my usual gyaru inspired look. On a side note, have any of you thought my makeup was gyaru-ish? I've always thought I was going towards the gyaru direction ( in terms of makeup) but nobody has really told me I look gyaru before. Lol.

Gyaru fail -.-;;;

Anyway this is my recent Hallyu makeup attempt and I think with dark hair, I actually look decently Korean !

Okay who am I kidding -.- I don't look Korean but hey I look different from my usual look so that's a plus! I tried to make my eyebrows even thicker and straight and also gave myself "eye pouches".

Watch out for my act emo, act doe camwhores !!
