I bought this in Japan early this year when I was in Kansai for the Cherry Blossoms. I’ve been a fan of Hada Labo for a long while now and my favourite moisturiser from them is their Koi-Gokujyun Whitening Perfect Gel . I ran out out of moisturiser halfway through the trip (travel size container problems!) and decided to try their 3D perfect gel. Then, this product has not reached Singapore yet and it’s novelty caught my attention.
“ Hada Labo stands for the lifestyle philosophy of “PERFECT x SIMPLE” a skincare range that brings beauty back to the basics – perfect, simple and confident.
To fulfil the commitment of healthy and perfect skin, Hada Labo emphasizes simplicity in its skin care process, removing all the unnecessary additives, colorant, fragrance and mineral oil that will burden the skin. Only the finest, purest and highly effective ingredients that are beneficial to the skin are retained to ensure maximum effectiveness. Only the best for your skin and nothing else…..
Now, you can truly enjoy a perfect and simple lifestyle, confidently…”
Hada Labo is also more commonly known for their use of Hyaluronic acid, an ingredient that can lock in moisturise 20 times it’s size. Their Super Hyaluronic Moisturizing Lotion is also the top selling face lotion in Japan.
Here’s a bit of the product description from Ratzillacosme.com .
“ Hada-Labo Koi Gokujyun 3D perfect Gel is an all-in-one Japanese moisturiser gel that give anti-ageing care.
The moisturiser gel has the functions of 5 products in one; lotion, beauty serum, moisturising milk, face cream and face pack. It features a blend of 3D hyaluronic acid, super hyaluronic acid and Resveratrol EX to nourish and firm up skin.
The concentrate clear gel has a firm “3D’'” texture that envelopes skin with a skin lifting, moisture veil to minimise early signs of ageing including fine lines”

Like all the other Hada Labo moisturiser, this came in a lightweight and simple plastic jar. Since Hada Labo is marketed as a Drugstore skin care line, their packaging has always been simplistic. No spatula was given. Not that I care for that though. I find them too much of a hassle and not necessarily any cleaner than my fingers.I cannot remember how much I bought it for but I vaguely remember this as one of their more expensive moisturiser and it was definitely more expensive than my Whitening Perfect Gel. Online store Ratzilla sells it for 1,695Yen (SGD$19.42) .
Texture
I’ve used quite a few gel moisturisers and this one takes the cake in uniqueness. It looks like a fairly ordinary jelly in the jar but once you touch it, the thing bounces! Yes, it bounce like a pudding! If you dig a hole through it, the crevasse would be there for a split second before it recovers itself like nothing ever happened. On the finger, this product just feels like jelly! Check out my video to get a sense of the consistency and texture.

Effects & Absorption
I found it a lot stickier than the other Hada Labo moisturisers I’ve tried (Koi Gokujyun Whitening Perfect Gel, Goku-Jyun Perfect Gel , Retinol firming & lifting cream , Hada Labo Hydrating cream ) and it takes a little longer to be absorbed into the skin. So sticky I can close my eyes and have the skin stick together haha. Or maybe I piled way too much on.There is no fragrance , a consistent trait in Hada Labo products and something I particularly like. It leaves the skin feeling more hydrated than my favourite whitening Perfect Gel however it also feels heavier on the skin. A fair trade I suppose?
Conclusion
This is a good product for acne prone or clogged skin that requires intense hydration but cannot handle heavy creams. I personally feel this formula is more suitable for drier climate than humid Singapore or for people who are in Air-Conditioned environment all the time. Personally my skin feels a bit greasy when I use it in Singapore but it feels great when I am in Japan.I would use this in Singapore on days where my skin feels extra dry or scratchy and my usual gel moisturiser doesn’t cut it anymore, just to give my skin an extra boost.
However I am not too sure about it’s “All-in-one” claim as without a serum or lotion, I find the effect greatly reduced. However if you have oily skin and lives in a humid country, this might really be the "All-in-one" product for you. I have dehydrated skin so this alone is not enough to quench it's thirst.
I am also unable to verify it’s ability to minimize early signs of ageing because I don’t think it did anything for my nasolabial lines.
Hope you guys like my short and simple review! If you’ve used this product before, please comment and share your opinion with me !
